About Zena, Aka Zee Zee, The

Zena, Aka Zee Zee, a Mixed Breed was adopted by Janelle Robertson from United States.
Here's how Janelle Robertson describes Zena, Aka Zee Zee :
Little "zee zee" with a big heart/attitude. but all together a little trooper.
Does Zena, aka zee zee 's behavior show the inherent characteristics?
Yes, about 3/4 of her "tude" comes from her breed. she is a very small min pin, but she is big inside.
Special Achievement of Zena, Aka Zee Zee :
She is so tiny that she is kind of fragile. an accident caused a broken left arm, both bones. she had surgery and external fixation (pins coming out of her tiny arm). she has been in "confinement" for 4 weeks (to total 12 at the end). we made her a little corner and have been trying to keep this pup still. but we have to give in and every family member takes turns holding, or giving attention to little zena.
Janelle Robertson's advice on what type of family should adopt a :
A very caring and careful one. if small children are extremely good with animals, no children under 5. generally they are pretty resilient, but then again mine is extra small!!

About Zoe, The

Zoe, a Mixed Breed was taken in by Kay Johnson from Australia.
Here's how Kay Johnson describes Zoe :
A very, beautiful,loving intelligent,cheeky,playful,destructive little girl
Does Zoe 's behavior show the inherent characteristics?
Absolutely shows every staffy trait possible, good and bad, from digging to stubborn attitude, to back chatting ! then to loving, intelligent and adorable !
Special Achievement of Zoe :
Zoe has just turned 12 months old and i believe i met her by fate a few weeks after having to make the heartbreaking decision to give my beautiful, loyal companion of 13 years a long and well deserved rest. ( thats was my dog, not my ex partner ) her mum was about to travel over seas , and was looking for someone to love her as she did. i needed something to help ease the loss of my beloved boy samson (shepard, lab cross. zoe and i met (not her original name) and decided we both liked each other, neither of us knew what we were in for as i run a fairly strict household dog wise, and she was used to the run of the house. considering the staffy breed thrown in , you can imagine , the challenge was on for us both ! we spend as much time together as possible work wise permiting, and i would love to walk her more, but am constantley filling in holes or mending retic when i get home. i have decided i dont need a garden for the next year or so, as i want to keep my dog and my sanity ! we spend time learning tricks every night, and throwing one of her 20 toys. she has learnt very quickly that i run the household and i am the one in charge. we have been together around 7 weeks now and she no longer jumps up at me when i come home or in and out a door. i have no more back chatting, only the occasionaly mumble. she waits at the door till she is asked to come in or out. she now sits, stays, rolls over, lies down, speaks when asked, puts her toys away in her toybox everynite. the best one is i purposely leave a bar fridge or cupboard door open and when asked, she goes and closes it for me. so even though we have a long way to go, we are both trying so hard to please each other. i have grown to love this naughty little girl, and am so excited just to see her when i get home even after i examine the destruction for the day. every day is getting easier i know in my heart i will once again have the best friend ever for another 13 years.
Kay Johnson's advice on what type of family should adopt a :
The kind that are very patient, loving and forgiving !

About Ebony, The

Ebony, a Mixed Breed was rescued by Chea from United States.
Here's how Chea describes Ebony :
She is very funny and very spontaneous, she like company, is afraid of the dark, hates the sound paper bags make. and loves the snow. she has the manlyist bark in my area and she is extremely good at showing emotions, is normally very well behaved, and is not shy at all. she is actually the sweetest dog i've ever met. she is very hyper i find myself grabbing her collar alot and stoking her face until she calms down. due her hyperness she sleeps like a baby i wake up a night sometimes, hearing her dreaming because she sometimes wines and barks in her sleep and when i get up to see what it is she is normally asleep barking and moving her feet rapidly as if she was chasing a cat. i often am scared if she is having a nightmare. last thing i have to say is when i found her a t the pound she looked so sad and then when i met her in the meeting room she wagged her tail so fast and hard her entire rear end was moving and it looked as though it made it a bit hard to walk and the pound had named her ebony and i had never heard that as a dog name before and she was so unique we decied it was the best name for her. also she is very tall, slender, has very defined muscles, is black and white, and looks like the cutes little thing you've ever seen.she is also very protective of everyone in the family.
Does Ebony 's behavior show the inherent characteristics?
In a way yes and in another way no. no because pittbull somewhat natural behavior is to be mean but she is the most cheerful dog.also yes because great danes are very relaxed and she can at times and then she has her moments where she is just a crazy ball of wild fur.
Special Achievement of Ebony :
When she was a puppy she could not eat any puppy chow because it would all make her very sick and vomity if it happens to you consult you vet and put them on dog chow. also just try sitting in front of your dog one day and just look into thier eyes i do sometimes and find myself thinking she known everything its like the entire worlds information sitting infront of you and other times its like she holds a secret behind those big beautiful eyes that she really wants to tell me but can't but then there are the rare time were she tiltes her head at me and then inches toward me and gives me a big slobbery kiss on the cheek. i just wanted to add that as i write this she is out in the living room snoring and kicking her feet.
Chea's advice on what type of family should adopt a :
Her breed would be great for any type of family she is great with kids, toddlers, and babies, other dogs, and cats (she kind of just stares at them wondering what they are). she is even great with my grandma she calms all the way down and just keeps her company. also if your a young woman living by yourself and lets say in not the best area, she may be the sweetest dog ever but when it comes down to someone hurting her loved ones she is very protective. let me just tell you this story it was about three in the morning in pueblo and she was sleeping on the floor next to me and someone knocked on the door, at the time i was 13 and had very frightened look on my face well because we weren't in the safest part of pueblo, so ebony imediatly got into a crouch position with her teeth bearing straight at the door i opened the door just enough to see that it was a very small woman in maybe her 20's and looked ebony and said chill and she sat down and looked calm but if you were watching her eyes and ears at that moment you would know she was still on guard or voluntier security duty as i like to call because she was looking all around and had her ears perked up just a little as if she were tryin gto take in every thing. so what i quess im tring to say is that i think she would be good for every family. also one last thing she has like a sixth sense if your sad even if your in the other room she just automatically knows and she will get up and come and sit her head in your lap and lick your hand trying to be discreat about it as if you don't know for example she won't move her head she will just stick her tongue out as far as it goes and when you look at her she stops it is actually quite amusing.

About Marque, The

Marque, a Mixed Breed was by Kim Sim from Malaysia.
Here's how Kim Sim describes Marque :
He is my four legged son! he thinks like human and understands me perfectly well. is he a dog? i don't think so!!!
Does Marque 's behavior show the inherent characteristics?
He is as playful as a boxer and really knows how to make you laugh even in your worse day at work. on the other hand, he is as lazy as any other bulldog. tilt his eyes to look at you without even lifting his head. he will have that crazy run once in a while that you will think that he has gone mad, but the next moment, he is so arrogant and elegant, sitting with his head high, prominently showing his undershot jaw. he is so intelligent and cunning at times. he is our alarm clock as he wakes us up every morning at 7am by our bedside. not barking, just softly calling. :) on his naughty side, he can put up a poker's face, act innocent and waits for his moment. once he sees the opportunity, he will dash for it. when you discipline him, he will immediately lie down and give you that superlly pathetic look of a bulldog. :)
Special Achievement of Marque :
Dog lovers like me would always want a dog who can be your companion. cheer you up when you are down, wake you up when you overslept and patiently waits for you (and remind you) that it is time to be with him even though you could be overly buzy with something else.
Kim Sim's advice on what type of family should adopt a :
If you want a lovely companion who can share your joy and sorrow, a bulloxer (i call it this way) is the perfect one for you. somehow, i would recomment it to dog owners who have time for them. they just need to be close to human, share our feelings and everything!

About Jasmine, The

Jasmine, a Mixed Breed was rescued by Annie Marks from United Kingdom.
Here's how Annie Marks describes Jasmine :
Jasmine is loving, bouncy, impossible to wear out, loyal in the extreme and always hungry for love. she was never invited to sleep on my bed, but helped herself to her place and now expects me to move over to the edge to give her room! when she's out on her walks she's quite happy to bound away from me, but i notice she's always got me in her sights.
Does Jasmine 's behavior show the inherent characteristics?
Jasmine is as near full border collie as possible, but with whippet speed. she can go so fast when she's chasing seagulls that they find they have to move rather quickly! she is extremely intelligent, devoted to balls and sticks, loves the water ... and has to be kept well away from sheep, because a certain look comes into her eye when she sees them! she is also very protective of her family and her property and will leap about the car in a frenzy of barking if anyone dares to come too close.
Special Achievement of Jasmine :
Border collies must be stimulated, they are much brighter than most breeds of dog and they want to be 'up-and-at-it'most of the day. she is time-consuming and wouldn't suit someone who was out at work most of the time, but then that's a typical border collie.
Annie Marks's advice on what type of family should adopt a :
Families - she's excellent with my small grandchildren, in fact she loves them to bits. retired people - she keeps us well and truly fit because she wants to be out on a walk most of the day!

About Polly, The

Polly, a Mixed Breed was rescued by Jeanthompson from United Kingdom.
Here's how Jeanthompson describes Polly :
Socialable, can take her anywhere good looking, good fun. everyone she meets enjoys being with her and goes off with a smile on their face. smart and presentable. brilliant guard dog to owner
Does Polly 's behavior show the inherent characteristics?
Yes, she is full of life, loves the freedom she enjoys when we go out in the car regularly to the open country. men particularly love playing with her and she loves the attention.
Special Achievement of Polly :
My dog is so special and that is due to having mixed with lots of people and all makes of dogs albeit on a lead at the side of my powered wheelchair. when she is very tired on our long outings she automtically jumps up and sits behind me. she does this the odd times we visit shopping centres anywhere in britain and as even sat quiet whilst l enjoyed a full meal.
Jeanthompson's advice on what type of family should adopt a :
Lively people, who would see she had a garden she can run round safely if you can't get out daily. lots of outings to preferabley quiet places even if lots of people as prefers not to listened to loud music and bands, so a harmonious family or a person less able but at all times be able to keep contol through commands and preferabley extending lead.

About Harry Potter, The

Harry Potter, a Mixed Breed was adopted by Margaret Metcalaf from United States.
Here's how Margaret Metcalaf describes Harry Potter :
Overly friendly loves direct attention, walks has learned to "talk" to you
Does Harry potter 's behavior show the inherent characteristics?
Yes -- likes to run around the yard, very fast, like he is marking his herd's area (typical of pyranees) well trained to cage, but definitely likes it when we come home and can roam the house
Special Achievement of Harry Potter :
Harry potter likes to make long, circuitous runs around the back yard, much like the game of quiddish (??) in the children's books he loves his squeaky toys, playing tug of war and playing fetch, picks up words quickly
Margaret Metcalaf's advice on what type of family should adopt a :
A family that can pay a lot of attention to (him), possibly with children and/or are willing to adopt a second puppy can financially afford the breed (harry potter at one year old is 80 pounds and still growing) needs training

Familys that like to play outside in all weather.snow is a nice fun run for this dog.

About Daisy, The

Daisy, a Mixed Breed was adopted by Darla Yowell from United States.
Here's how Darla Yowell describes Daisy :
A big bundle of energy with feet bigger than the palm of my hand, and she keeps getting bigger
Does Daisy 's behavior show the inherent characteristics?
Daisy loves to fetch. i can throw her a toy or stick and she will bring it back to me as long as her sister whiskers lets her. she also loves her baths and has been known to try to get into her water bowl and roll around. she has a sweet personality and loves to play with any person that comes along. she especially likes to run with the kids. since she is a retrever, this is characteristic of her breed.
Special Achievement of Daisy :
Daisy is a sweet but busy puppy. she knows not to get on the couch but if i am taking a nap there, she will sometimes climb on me with her upper body and keep her feet on the floor. she lays her head on my chest and just waits for me to pet her. she is one of the most lovable dogs i have ever had, gentle and sweet but she sure loves her treats.
Darla Yowell's advice on what type of family should adopt a :
A family with bigger children. this breed is big and when they are puppies and busy, they tend to get real excited and will jump and knock small children over. i also recommend a big back yard because they like to run and are big. they are sweet dogs and make good pets.

This dog is very active and loyal, despite his battle with anemia, he is very strong willed and loves to play all the time and he is very obedient to most of my commands. a good pup thus far.
Does Comet 's behavior show the inherent characteristics?
His behavior is consistent to his breed characteristics.
Eric's advice on what type of family should adopt a :
Strong and aggresive individuals should own this dog. an individual must control every aspect of this dogs's life in order to ensure he is properly socialized. once this is done, this do will be awesome for the family.

About Twist, The

Twist, a Mixed Breed was adopted by Susan Pape from United Kingdom.
Here's how Susan Pape describes Twist :
My dog is very bouncy, with big white teeth that shine, she's also very noisy, but i'm really glad she's mine. her hair is very ginger, in fact she's just like me, if dogs are like their owners, she's got it to a tee.
Does Twist 's behavior show the inherent characteristics?
Her behaviour is typical of many terriers... she is noisy, very energetic, very fast, can turn on a dime, will chase anything small and furry (not a good thing!), fantastic people dog, loves attention, great fun to train, independent and willful.
Special Achievement of Twist :
Not really, all our dogs, like children, are special to their owners.
Susan Pape's advice on what type of family should adopt a :
People with the time to train and excercise and play and run. she is fantastic with kids and loves running on the beach with them.
