About
Teddy, The |
Teddy, a
Mixed Breed was
adopted by
Kathleen Osmon from
United States. |
Here's how
Kathleen Osmon describes
Teddy :
Probably one of the prettiest, sweetest, funniest little guys around. very friendly and very smart. he is a blenheim with a gorgeous full tail. |
Does
Teddy 's behavior show the inherent
characteristics?
These dogs were bred to be lapdogs for royalty. he loves to sleep - sometimes i think he is part cat as he seems to need his naps during the day. they are very sweet-tempered and friendly and he loves to play with his squeaky toys. he is very finicky about his food and will not eat out of a bowl - who knows why. thank goodness he will eat his meal bar so at least he gets his nutrition. |
Special Achievement of Teddy :
They are so easy to train and love to be next to their owners. they love other animals and any kind of attention, and are so smart. he loves to watch tv and will bark at the animals, and try to challenge them. |
Kathleen Osmon's advice on what type of family should adopt
a :
They do fine with older people or families with small kids. they don't have any meanness in them and get very unhappy if they are scolded. |
About
Xander, The |
Xander, a
Mixed Breed was
taken in by
Crystal Burch from
Germany. |
Here's how
Crystal Burch describes
Xander :
Xander is very hyper. and ready to always go outside. very loving and giving to us. even though he is a big breed of dog. i dont think that he honestly knows that he is very big sometimes. when he becomes playfull he runs and jumps as if he is not very big at all. Xander has the most amazing personality on a dog that i have ever seen. when we look at him. you can almost tell what he is thinking. but he acts the same as a kid would. and that is what's funny about it. we never really think of him as a dog. but as a member of our family. |
Does
Xander 's behavior show the inherent
characteristics?
Xander's breed came from europe over 5,000 yrs ago. from germany i might add. he was used mainly to hunt wild boar. and also used to protect the home. so when we walk him outside. any sudden movement from like cat or bird or whatever. he quickly stands still. the tail goes up. along with the ears. and he becomes motionless and sniffs the air. he is also very protective of his family. follows all of us around the home to see what we are doing. sniffs us to make sure that we are ok. then goes back to his bed and lays down. Xander's breed is the most amazing that i have ever run across. the size of them alone scares you. but yet they are nothing more than big gentle giants. |
Special Achievement of Xander :
Xander has this little bandana around his neck. its blue. a friend of mine have given it to him. you would think that a dog could care nothing more than what is around their necks. but Xander has become fond of this bandana around his neck. when i take it off to wash. he makes sure that it goes in the washing machine. standing there by my side to watch every move i make. then when its ready. he comes up prancing and holding his head up high for me to put that blue bandana around his neck. we laugh everytime. |
Crystal Burch's advice on what type of family should adopt
a :
Anyone can own a great dane. very patient very caring people. these kinds of dogs enjoy outside alot. i would say that anyone could own one of these breeds. very loving and caring animals. good with people and very good with children. not to hard to maintain. i really cant say what kind of people or family to recommend for this breed. the great dane along with any breed dont really worry what kind of person you are. or how big your family is. all they want is love and affection. and in return they give love and loyality back. and will be there no matter what. |

Louie, The |
Louie, a

taken in by
Mary from

Here's how
Mary describes
Louie :
He's not a dog - he's a person and my best mate |
Does
Louie 's behavior show the inherent
characteristics?
His behavior/attitude does relate to his breeeding characteristics - he is intelligent, a mind reader and sends me thought messages. very obedient,is a master of understanding the english language without any real training. loves company and also likes to exercise his hunting traits - loves chasing chooks and birds. he has a loving gently nature, would not harm/bite anyone - if an burgular was to come in to the home he probably would show his where the tv and goddies were. |
Special Achievement of Louie :
Louie has his own airconditioned bedroom with a lounge and lots of soft cushions to snuggle into. he loves being pampered and in return he loves me dearly, always wanting to be by my side.
loves outings in the car and watches tv every day - barks at the villians in the movies - his favourite movie is the march of the pegiuns. |

Purebred was

Sandra Priestap from

Here's how
Sandra Priestap describes
Trick :
Male. |
Does
Trick 's behavior show the inherent
characteristics?
The barking, yes. |
Special Achievement of Trick :
They love being wherever you are, even the bathroom. they are so soft and cuddly, if they will sit still long enough. seems that only when they are tired and mellow, that they will snuggle in. |
Sandra Priestap's advice on what type of family should adopt
a :
They are now just pups, but small children or those who might not watch where they put their feet, would not be a good mix. i believe they might be best for adults who want companion dogs but who are able to take them for walks and use up their energy. |

Sherry Hicks from

Sherry Hicks describes
Shea :
The best |
Does
Shea 's behavior show the inherent

Yes the fit there breed to a t. they are true gifts added to an home. |
Special Achievement of Shea :
No matter what is going on in your lfe be it good or bad your dog will be there with you through it all. if you own a dog to put in your yard and say you own it. be kind and find it a good home that will make it a part of the family. your dog will find a way to thank you, for it. |
Sherry Hicks's advice on what type of family should adopt
a :
A family that is going to commit themselve's to adding another addition to thair fammaly. train it so the puppy will behave like the good boy or girl, they are.
if you are not willing to make a commitment for a life time. then dont buy a dog.
dogs are like kids they get into things. i support creat traing 100% make sure the dog ha acsess to water and food and all times. it is unrealistic to think a puppy 6 weeks to 12 weeks to not have a accedentin 8 to 10 hours.
most of all this is a member of oyur family for the next 12 to 20 years. |
About
Tubbs, The |
Tubbs, a
Purebred was
adopted by
Larry Jacobellis from
United States. |
Here's how
Larry Jacobellis describes
Tubbs :
There are so many things i want to say about Tubbs. he is a gentle soul full of love. they say all a pug wants to do is give love unconditionally and that his only request is that you reciprocate that that unconditional love. that is Tubbs. he has a terrific sense of humor and is an absolute joy. he is extremely playful and energetic. he always grrets you at night after coming home from day's work making you feel like the most important person in the world as he is always excited to greet you. Tubbs is a very special companion and i feel truly blessed to say that i know him. |
Does
Tubbs 's behavior show the inherent
characteristics?
Tubbs as i have said has a gentle soul. the great thing about pugs in general is that you could put 100 pug owners in a room and they would all tell you that their pug is the greatest dog in the world and the love of their life and all 100 would be right. pugs are the gentlest and kindest breed going and Tubbs is all of that. i have read that pugs are the most even tempered breed of them all and i believe it. |
Special Achievement of Tubbs :
I have already said plenty about what a special dog the Tubbster is. i am sure others have similar feelings about their dogs. ther is something special about a pug. they have a small body with a huge heart full of love. |
Larry Jacobellis's advice on what type of family should adopt
a :
Pugs love children and their isn't a better dog to have for a family especially with young children. as i say that the puig makes for a wonderful companion for anyone. |
About
Molly, The |
Molly, a
Purebred was
adopted by
Jill Speechley from
Australia. |
Here's how
Jill Speechley describes
Molly :
Molly is a happy, energetic but well behaved labrador that just lives to go out horse riding with me. she is a true water dog. |
Does
Molly 's behavior show the inherent
characteristics?
Molly is your true water dog and just loves to swim in every dam and puddle no matter what the weather is like.
she is exactly what a labrador is supposed to be. she loves water, loves people and other dogs. she is happy to sleep all day but is ready for action when she sees me in my riding clothes or getting ready to go out for a walk. there is no chance of going riding or walking with out her. she is very intelligent and was very easy to obedience train. she is the only dog i've ever owned that wants to be bathed and is ready to hop up into her hydro bath the minute i give the command. she is also very food motivated like all true labradors!!! |
Special Achievement of Molly :
Molly has learn't a few little tricks at doggy school. she can sit up and beg, shake hands, speak on command and will sit and wait for the command to eat her food. she has just started to learn how to bow. this dog will do anything for food treats!!! |
Jill Speechley's advice on what type of family should adopt
a :
I think that labradors are well suited for a family with children. they are happy dogs that love to play even when they get older. they are also dogs that like a lot of attention and mental stimulation. they can get bored and destructive if left alone for long periods of time with out things to keep them occupied. they are great for doing obedience training. |

Does
Pippa 's behavior show the inherent
characteristics?
Pippa, my papillon, is a very social dog as she goes to work with me every day and interacts with all types and ages of people, even other dogs. |
Special Achievement of Pippa :
Pippa was mated in november, her first litter at 16 months old we all looked forward to her little puppies arriving,Pippa was the runt of the litter so i was interested to see if she had a runt too,she is such a dainty little girl.one the 11th january Pippa went into labour right on time at 6 am ..my friend came over to be with her too,as time got closer we saw a head appear then a dear little puppy was born, but alas the darling little thing was deformed he had 2 stumps as front legs and his little heart was pumping so softly and slowly outside his little body he took 2 breathes then died, that was her only puppy, over the next few hours i saw a little dainty girl express her pain, sorrow and frustration in ripping her bed apart crying, whimpering and growling, who says animals dont feel heartache....i let her cuddle her little first born, she knew it was dead but i think she had hope..i took little ollie as we called him from her and placed him in a satin lined box i had kept in the wardrobe as we do,and we both said goodbye to a tiny little puppy we both wont forget.. |
Cheryl Webber's advice on what type of family should adopt

Young, old, anyone can own a loyal papillon like Pippa, they pick up on so many things..when to play, when to be quiet..and when to show love to a person who is suffering... |
