About
Billy, The |
Billy, a
Purebred was
rescued by
Gladys from
Singapore. |
Here's how
Gladys describes
Billy :
Billy is very intelligent, alert, ever ready to please me. although he is active like any other jrt, he is not aggressive at all but super friendly with any one. he's temperament is the best which the vet had mentioned and most of all he's a very loving doggy. |
Does
Billy 's behavior show the inherent
characteristics?
Jrt is known for being active and agressive. billy was an abused dog before i took him home. he is no longer tied up and he has the freedom to roam our whole flat and even sleeps on our sofa. billy used to be afraid of sticks which his ex-owner hits him most of the time whenever he barks. as billy is super intelligent, he would only cough instead of barking whenever someone in our flat is still asleep. whenever he sees me, his would wag his little tail happily and he would give me the most loving look. a total changed doggy and a very happy boy. billy knows the difference between right and left paw. he would 'hand shake' with you when you ask for his right or left paw. |
Special Achievement of Billy :
I changed his name from bee bee to billy. i took billy home one late sat nite and started calling him billy. by the next morning, he already knew his new name. billy learnt things very quickly and paper-trained was a breeze. from a frightend and jumpy boy, he now looks into my eyes with eye contact whenever i talk to him. he loves to be cuddled and i can watch a 'whole' tv show with him by my side. i am sure no other jrt would be able to do that. he's a very special boy and billy's birthday is on 14 february 2007....and he'll be 2 this coming valentine's day. |
Gladys's advice on what type of family should adopt
a :
You must have patience,'true' love, communication for jrts. jrts are hyper-active dogs and you have to walk/run with him everyday. dogs have emotions and feelings like us, you have to talk to them. they will
understand and it will love you as much as you love it. if you do not have the time to play and talk to a jrt, please do not get a jrt thinking that it is cute and active. jrts are not battery operated, it has feelings like humans too. |
