Tibetan Terrier Activity Level

How Active is the Breed?

The Tibetan Terrier is an energetic breed that likes to run and play. He becomes fairly inactive indoors as he matures.

How Much Exercise Does the Dog Need at every stage of its Life?

The Tibetan Terrier has plenty of energy. He needs plenty of opportunities to run and can do that in a well-fenced yard or a dog park. He can live in an apartment or a home with a small, fenced yard. Daily long walks will be much appreciated.

Although heavily coated, he is a moderate shedder who needs brushing two to three times a week. Do not brush his coat dry; mist it with conditioner and water to ease brushing. Be vigilant of leg joints, beard, and hindquarters. Clip hair between pads of the feet. A bath will be needed once every week or two.

This breed sheds very little. It can be clipped in the summer if you desire. Allergy sufferers can have this breed, but it takes quite a bit of work in terms of grooming.
