At night your mal-shi looks over your bed before he starts to climb up onto the already cramped space. When he does, you:

Smile at his cute efforts and make room for him

Push him off the first time but the next attempt you simply ignore him and allow him to find a spot.

Keep him out of your room and make him sleep in his own room or crate for the night.

Give a firm “No” and push him off the bed until he learns that he is not allowed on the furniture.
