Thank you for the much needed tips for Bailey. They were really informative and helpful, and they ACTUALLY WORK. I no longer have to yell at Bailey to get down when she jumps on me, or fuss at her about the training pads - going to the bathroom. She is really responsive and listens to me now, and using the training pads 95% of the time. Now that I know how she thinks, this little stubborn, complex little girl of mine is easy to handle. She would not pee on her training pad. With little guidance, lots of love and devotion we eventually had a pee on her training pad today. Lots of praise and treats went her way. Thank you again for your help. I really appreciate it very much. I have started the techniques you have suggested for crate training, barking, and nipping. She's responding very well to all. She even spent the whole night in her crate without whining last night. Looking forward to more tips and tricks you have to suggest!
I am absolutely amazed at how quickly Cleo is responding. I will tell you this little story: Yesterday was his second day of training. Your tip on only reacting to the positive REALLY works. So he was just going to make a wee in the house and I clapped my hands together and said No, picked him up and took him outside and just ignored him until he made his wee...and then I made a huge fuss. Later on in the day I took him outside to see if he wanted to wee and he started playing with me and biting my feet so hard it hurt. I clapped my hands together and said NO and he stopped, looked all dejected and went to make a wee and then turned round all excited. It was so cute...he knew I wasn't happy with him so he went to wee to make me happy. It really does work, thank you so much for your help.
Thank you so much for the information. I am practicing your tips, and I am enjoying the success. I wish I had this information on hand 11 years ago when I got my first dog. All the factors you mention in the video, with regards to the attention seeking, I have experienced. It can be very embarrassing. I am sure this time round, it's going to be different. Tuffy is ten weeks old and loves to jump, nip and bite at legs and feet. I have tried the stepping sideways and not speaking to her. She will stop and get busy with something else. She can “sit” now. We’re working on “come”. Potty training is progressing. She now knows her place and does her business fairly quickly. Thank you. As I read your emails, I keep getting great ideas. I am certain, I am going to have a well-disciplined bundle of joy soon.
Thanks so much for the free course for Grizzly and me. We’re both excited.😊. I have enjoyed your training videos and learned so much. I love how you pointed out that the techniques I’ve been using to stop him from barking have actually been the wrong methods for Grizzly. I’ve been reading and studying about dog training methods for years and you’re the only one who correctly points out that different dog breeds require different training methods. Thanks so much for that wisdom. It is so nice to get an insight of your baby's mind. I'm ever so grateful to you. He certainly listens to me now and respects me and we have fun playing and learning about each other at the same time. I wish I had found you earlier. I hope your day is as great as you are.
I have read and enjoyed the first two lessons of your puppy training so far and think it is fantastic. I was especially glad to learn that your method does not incorporate hitting, kicking, or punishing my pet Pal. My pet Pal was born three weeks ago and that is when I began reading your training method. Why did I subscribe so quickly ... because I want to have the advantage when I get Pal, I’ll be ready to start working with him.. You make your training method sound so easy. I am 69 years of age and no, by no means do I know everything there is about training a puppy. That is why I rely on a person such as yourself. I hope to have as much fun training Pal as Pal has being trained. After all we both want the same thing. A happy life with a friendship between the two of us that will continue to grow and grow.
Colby has now turned into an angel baby. He sits, lays down and stays. He sits for his meals. He does not jump, or bark unless someone comes to the door, and when I say that is enough he stops, and I only say it once. I have followed your training advice and it has indeed worked wonders for both Colby and me. I feel so encouraged to see his transformation that I am planning to train Colby as a service dog. When Colby came home 5 months back, he was almost completely out of control and was quite a handful for the first 10 days, or so. I started implementing your email tips immediately and noticed some very significant results in the first two days. I kept following your tips and Colby’s behavior kept improving. Your tips are incredible and so helpful. Keep helping people. I'll surely recommend my friends to try your site for guidance.
Thanks for the wonderful online training you've given me. I had started implementing the email tips immediately and I can already see some very significant results in just 4 days. I0 days back, we picked up Pickles from the shelter and found she is hyperactive, doesn’t understand any command and hasn’t been socialized either. We started following your advice consistently and till now, the result is amazing. Pickles no longer bites or chews of me, she is learning to remain calm and sit while we put her collar and leash on and also while we are filling her food bowl!!! Honestly, these are great improvements – especially from a dog, who wasn’t trained at all by her previous owners. This is much more than we expected. We were wandering to find the best trainer for Pickles. Now we think we don't have to wander anymore because we are at the best place. We’re feeling so lucky. We will surely recommend you to others we know who are getting new little puppies.
I have 3 beautiful Airedale Terrier's that are quite challenging at times! Your first 3 emails I received were fantastic!!! You are so right about when to give my pups attention. The jumping on me when I get home from anywhere has been a consistent problem with my pack since we brought our first boy home! Like you, I am a strong believer in positive reinforcement. The first night, I tried your method of turning to the side and ignoring the jumping. I am going to admit it was hard for me to break my own habit of not to immediately crouch to their level scratching and patting them. But my biggest surprise was that they did not insist on continuing to jump. Having followed this every time I come home, now they actually allow me in the house and all the way to the couch without jumping or tripping. I am so happy to have found someone in tune with my favorite breed!! Thank you so much for this opportunity, I look forward to my next email!!
I have noticed my 8 week puppy behaving well from your tips! One example has to do with potty training. Lucy has only peed twice in my room. The first time, I told her no and she went to time out and realized she hasn’t been a good girl. The second time she peed in my room, my brother was present. I gave her time out but then my brother ran over there and cuddled her because he thought I was being mean. Simply I explained to him what I have learnt from you - to train and teach a dog a lesson you shouldn’t give them any attention right after they have done something wrong. The third time, I could catch her just before she would have peed and took her outside. Praised her a lot for being a good girl. I gave her a few treats too. Ever since, she has not eliminated indoors. The best part of your course is it teaches us the natural behavioral instinct which we can easily apply in every situation. Thank you so much.
I really enjoy getting these useful emails! Each night I talk with my 3 kiddos and share what I have learned with them. It makes them and Princess feel special to participate in the training. But I am still the alpha 😊 I have kept a bell hanging down on the door for potty training purposes and my kids are teaching Princess to ring the bell before stepping out of the door. I admit we are shocked at how well she is taking to your training at such a young age. The jumping and ankle biting have greatly improved already. She already knows a few commands like sit, wait and down. She has learnt her name today and my kids are super excited. I've been teaching her to come to me and next t in line are Watch and Touch. Thanks to your training tips - we have established a solid pack hierarchy for our happy little family (pack). Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom everyday.
